I’m a Leader NOT a Clown

Back in 2013 I was able to attend the Chic-Fil-A Leadercast. At the time I was a district level leader with nine General Managers reporting to me and I paid to bring them to Leadercast as an investment in their leadership abilities. As a leadership buff that has studied and learned from some of the best it was truly a blessing to hear from Andy Stanley, John Maxwell, Henry Cloud, Condeleeza Rice and Jack Welch. Today I was reviewing my notes from the Leadercast and this line stuck out to me.... “I’m a Leader NOT a Clown” Actual Picture of Me Being a Clown BUT, to be serious why did I take that note from John Maxwell’s talk and what was I trying to tell myself ?!? The Heart of 18 Hour Equipped

Kurt Blake and I have for years been going back and forth on a nearly daily basis about everything that you will come to see from our blog and podcast. We often talk about life as two men just trying to be the best husbands and fathers possible. We talk about our spirituality and how that influences the decisions that we make in our personal and business life. We equally talk about business and being leaders and how to best improve productivity. It was that activity along with me listening to a Gary V podcast that really propelled this 18 hour mentality. At the end of the day God has given us all 24 hours in a day to get life done. The average person sleeps for 6 hours per night, so what are you doing with the other 18 hours..... This blog and podcast will focus on helping you get the most out of that 18 hours and be more equipped to improve.
